Welcome to Policy Solutions Challenge USA!
Policy Solutions Challenge USA is a national competition among teams of students from U.S. schools of public policy, public affairs and public administration to develop innovative solutions to the most important policy problems facing the country. These students represent the next generation of skilled policy analysts, prepared by the schools of public policy, public affairs and public administration to draw upon the tools of economics, statistics, political science, organizational management and law to design new responses to the difficult issues confronting federal, state and local governments. If the U.S. is to thrive in the 21st century, these professionally trained policy analysts must contribute actively to shaping public policy.
Every year, the teams will present their analyses and recommendations regarding the same topic at regional Challenges located across the U.S. At each regional, a panel of professional policy analysts will judge the teams and select 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finalists. The 1st place teams will be invited to participate in the National Challenge to be held March 2105 in Washington, DC.
Policy Solutions Challenge USA will be presenting the recommendations from all the teams to key decisions makers in government to encourage consideration of the new approaches developed by the students. Those recommendations will be posted on this website after the conclusion of the national finals.
The Next National Champion Will Be Crowned in March 2015!
